EQUESTRIAN CENTER

Haras del Mar is a spanish style equestrian center in which you can enjoy with your family, from receiving dressage or jumping lessons to just learning how to handle a criollo horse (costarican sabanero horse). Enjoy also some of our cross country trails around Lomas del Mar property or an easy going trail down to our closest beach ¨Playa Matapalo¨ or around the Canopy tour. Boarding is available in our fully equipped stables on five acres of land. Come and enjoy the love of horses with us!
Haras del Mar Equestrian Center is located within 600 acres of ocean views and mountain trails in the Lomas del Mar planned ecological community.

Experience

Few scenes are more peaceful than horses grazing in spacious pastures. Few experiences are more enchanting than riding a well-mannered horse on trails wending through tropical dry forests, winding between and over rolling hills, opening here and there to spectacular vistas, and culminating in a lively prance or casual walk along a pristine beach.

Services

We provide boarding in a brand new 14 stall Spanish-style stable with turnout paddocks. Our state of the art equestrian center offers professional instruction in equitation classes for jumping and dressage at our full-size Federation Arena. And we sponsor supervised trail rides to the idyllic beach of Matapalo.

Location

Haras del Mar Equestrian Center is located in the Lomas del Mar ecological resort community. We're only minutes from the long golden stretches of Playa Matapalo - one of the country's finest beaches - just a short drive to the Papagayo Golf and Country Club, 15 minutes to the quaint seaside town of Playas del Coco, and 30 minutes to the international airport near Liberia, Costa Rica.
